Important Notice
Equating & validating foreign qualifications
All applicants holding qualifications from outside Uganda must have their credentials equated or validated before final admission. Pre-tertiary qualifications (equivalent to UCE/UACE) are equated through the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB). Post-secondary and tertiary qualifications are validated through the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).
We welcome students from diverse nationalities pursuing various programmes — Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, DRC, Cameroon, South Sudan, Nigeria, India, Canada, and many more.
IUEA has no transfer fees for students that wish to continue their studies with us. We provide a quality education to ensure your satisfaction.
IUEA offers many programmes that lead to a Certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate, and Post-graduate Degrees, as well as short courses that prepare students for both employment and entry into Degree programmes.
All Certificates, Diplomas, and Degrees are designed to ensure that students get maximum expertise in the use of Technology, completing their programmes armed with an excellent education that includes practical experience and skills for employment and entrepreneurship.

No transfer fees at IUEA
IUEA has no transfer fees for students who wish to continue their studies with us from another institution. We provide quality education and a supportive transition so you can pick up your programme without unnecessary financial barriers.

General admission provisions
- Direct entry into a Bachelor programme: at least five (5) passes at UCE and two (2) principal passes at UACE obtained at the same sitting.
- Direct entry into a Diploma programme: at least five (5) passes at UCE and one (1) principal pass at UACE, or a Higher Education Certificate with a pass classification.
- Diploma holders may enter the second year of a Bachelor's programme with a credit classification, or the first year with a pass classification.
- Applicants must submit completed applications at least two (2) weeks before the advertised intake start date.
